Current Time Zones in Chile
Effective Sunday, April 7 at 0000 AM, Chile has officially changed from Standard Time to Daylight Savings Time. This change, which sets the clock back by one hour, affects all regions of mainland Chile, including the capital of Santiago and the Easter Island.
Chile currently adheres to three time zones:
- Chile Standard Time (CLT), which is now equivalent to Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) minus 3 hours.
- Chile Daylight Time (CLDT), which is implemented during certain months and observes UTC minus 2 hours.
- Easter Island Standard Time, which remains at UTC minus 6 hours throughout the year.
